- Turn Off Power & water: Make sure the disposal is switched off to avoid any accidents.
- Use the Reset Button: Locate the reset button on the disposal and press it.
- Check for Foreign Objects: Look inside the disposal for any foreign objects causing the jam.
- Turn off the room’s electrical supply: For that go to the fuse box in your home. It is usually on the bottom floor or in the basement.
- Use the Allen Wrench: Inset an Allen Wrench into the bottom of the disposal and turn it manually to free the impellers.
- Rotate the Blades: Insert a wooden or plastic utensil into the disposal and rotate the blades to dislodge any debris.
